Marijuana found in car tires

A 30-year-old man from San Luis Rio Colorado, Son., was arrested Wednesday for allegedly trying to smuggle marijuana into the U.S. through the San Luis Port of entry.

According to Customs and Border Protection, officers referred Joel Arturo Cano Garcia’s Nissan sedan to the secondary inspection area. They reported finding a total 30 packages of marijuana weighing more than 99 pounds hidden inside all four tires.

The drugs and vehicle were processed for seizure. Garcia was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
