CBP officers arrest local woman, seize cocaine and meth

Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a San Luis woman Sunday morning for allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs into the country through the San Luis port of entry.
Crystal Murro, 22, a U.S. citizen, was arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations. The drugs and vehicle were processed for seizure.
According to CBP, with the aid of a narcotics detection canine, officers found nearly five pounds of cocaine and seven pounds of methamphetamine in her 2005 Nissan Sentra during a secondary inspection.
The illegal drugs had a combined street value of nearly $150,000.
