Man, 24, accused of marijuana distribution

SAN BENITO — Police arrested a man accused of distributing marijuana, according to a press release issued on Thursday.
Police arrested Armando Martinez, 24, on Tuesday after they found 7 pounds, 12 ounces of marijuana in a home at 423 Rogers St., the release stated. Officers also found 1.4 ounces of marijuana under a sofa, three codeine pills and a Xanax pill.
The man faced charges of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone, it said.
The police report found that Martinez had an active warrant for felony delivery with intent to distribute marijuana.
