Second man identified in border agent’s killing
January 31st 2012 · 1 Comment
The U.S. District Court documents identify him as 41-year-old Rito Osorio-Arellanes, who is believed to be the brother of the only previously named defendant, Manuel Osorio-Arellanes. A third man has not been identified in public records because he hasn’t been caught.
Both men are under indictment in the killing of Terry, who died during a shootout with men who attacked suspected illegal immigrants and drug smugglers.
Terry’s killing drew additional attention when two guns found at the scene were connected to a botched federal operation known as Fast and Furious in which illegally obtained weapons were allowed across the border into Mexico.
